The film will be produced under Sandler's production company Happy Madison, and was shot in Massachusetts, around Boston, Everett, Lynn, Brockton, Stoughton and Cape Cod. While still in his early teens, dimwitted Donny Berger (Adam Sandler)
fathered a son, Han Solo Berger (Andy Samberg), with his teacher who
raised him as a single parent up until Han's 18th birthday. Now, 12
years later, Donny needs $43,000 to pay off the IRS to avoid 3 years of
jail time. Han (who changed his name to Todd Peterson) is a wealthy and
successful businessman who gets an unpleasant surprise on the eve of
his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up for some father
and son time.
